tl;dr: Camera Upload claims nothing to upload.
I have ~22k photos on my iPhone and have been working on uploading those to my server and was less than 10% done when I upgraded my device to iOS 11 last night.
Post upgrade I opened the Plex app to kick off the Camera Upload again; however, instead of the uploader picking up where it left off, the app claimed “nothing to upload”. I disabled & re-enabled the Camera Upload feature on the iPhone, but the “issue” persisted. This was taking place on my home network (same place the Plex server runs from).
This morning I just opened the Plex app and the uploads are actually resuming; this is from a remote network. I’m running 1.8.4.4249.
FYI in case anyone else runs into this same (transient?) issue.
Interesting issue! Can you provide server and client logs? For client logs in the Plex for iOS app, go to Settings > Help and Support > Debugging > Share Debugging Data.
I seem to have a similar problem with iOS 11. Camera upload gets stuck in “Waiting to upload” Tried restarting both the app and the server, still identifies new pictures but never gets beyond the waiting to upload screen.

Client logs would help in understanding this. For client logs in the Plex for iOS app, go to Settings > Help and Support > Debugging > Share Debugging Data.
I see the same issue. using a 6s so it’s not the new photo format. Says waiting to upload. If you toggle the upload feature off/on, it says error, no media. Upgrade fun!
