Camera upload not working

Hi Plexers,

I’m a long time Plex Pass user and do quite enjoy it. Lately I’ve been getting a bit frustrated with the camera upload feature. It has worked for me in the past but lately I cannot get it to upload my phone content. I have a Windows 10 machine running the Plex Server. I am trying to upload photos from my iphone 7. As of today, I updated to iOS 11 and I also updated to the latest Plex Server (1.9) in hopes of rectifying this problem. So far, it still doesn’t work. It hasn’t worked since Sept 5th. Any suggestions?

Just wanted to push this back up as it still doesn’t work…even after another iOS app update

Doesn’t work for me either. It crashes after running for a fee minutes on Note 8.

not working on my android or our iPhone either, I have to manually upload the photos it won’t auto sync. All the videos that get uploaded show under pictures.

This is getting frustrating I got my plex pass for this reason & it barely works.

Camera upload is not working for me either.

I haven’t used the camera upload before, but I have just tried to set it up and I can’t get it to work.
I have a FreeNAS server running PMS and I am attempting to upload from my iPad running IOS 11.0.2.
I have a large photo library containing 13153 photos. I have tried both manual and automatic. It appears to attempt to upload the first picture in the library , but nothing is uploaded and no error message is given.

Is this feature no longer working or have I got something wrong with my setup?

Am curious, what is the error screen showing? Is this problem seen on the phone, just on the server, or both?

For me it’s the same problem as TonySelf is having. I religiously used it for over 1 year and, apart from getting new plex clients and servers, nothing has changed in my setup since it started failing in early September 2017. It’s pretty frustrating as this is one of the best options about Plex for me.

Any chance someone from Plex can acknowledge that this is a bug so I stop trying so many things to get it to work?

+1 Bump of the Bump. I’ve been having the same issue. I read something in relation to the OS changes/limitations causing the error. I’ll have to find the thread.

So it worked for me for one day…although video dates got messed up. Now it’s back to broken again after a second plex server update. sigh

How is your videos and photos files? My videos all go to my photo files doesn’t woke to separate them

I’ve been playing around with Plex for a few weeks now and didn’t get it to work at all yet (I’m running Android). But I would really enjoy it, and it is one of the reasons why I got my Plex Pass.

I have a similar setup to tonyself and have the exact same problem. I previously asked about this issue as well but didn’t receive a response.

My photos and videos get dumped into same location. Date tagging for videos was messed up because of a plex bug
