Camera upload gets stuck in an endless loop between “Uploading” and “Looking for new photos and videos”. It will show this in the app > settings, or in the tray (which is really how I know it is happening). There are no new photos to upload…only way to stop the tray from showing is to force stop the app.
Seeing the same issue as you on my Android phone. At first I thought it may have been a corrupted db file on my phone, so I force killed the app and cleared out the data. When that didn’t work, I uninstalled and reinstalled the app from the Play Store – same results. I get to the last 5 images and it then starts going into an infinite loop. At this point, I’d figure it’s a corrupted file on the Plex Server.
Add me to the list of people now experiencing this as well. Started after my Android App updated to version 7.9.0.8439. I’m not sure that it is a loop as much as now showing a notification each time it looks for new photos or videos. In my notification area these notifications just keep stacking up and have to be cleared out. Super annoying.
I get the same, and on top of that, if I move the files from the folder I upload from, it will reupload the files. Anyone have a help point for that
Still seeing this issue…happens anytime a new image triggers the upload. App version is now 7.13.0.9583. Any pending images do appear to get successfully uploaded, but then the app just goes in circles.

Oddly, it now appears to get stuck on 1 remaining photo, but the behavior is very much the same.

this issue is still occuring i have a new note 9 phone andmine is setup to upload when plugged in once it gets to 2 photos left it gets thrown into a loop of checking for new photos and once i hit cancel it stops the loop and shows 0 photos left but the loop reoccurs every time it uploads a new image i’ve gone through and verified it’s uploaded all the images which it has but it doesn’t register they’ve all been transferred on my phone it seems so there may be a verification issue that lets the device or software know that everythings been uploaded i may run another test in a new library folder on my server and verify again if all images got transferred but the loop notification noise ran endlessly as well and kept me awake during the night due to the image search loop issue
I had to warranty replace my phone…camera upload was actually working great for a time, then the loop started happening again. Seemed to start happening after a rather large video was put in queue to be uploaded.
Same by me. Would loop on the last 2 images. I have already reset the feature. It seems to rapidly go through the images (I’m guessing 'cause they’re uploaded already) until it came to the last 2 again. Then the loop started occurring again. Also, it seemed to get stuck after resetting. After scanning about 150 images I had to turn it off and on again to make it continue. Very unreliable altogether… Very disappointed!
I have the same issue.
With latest beta 7.24.0.13291, app is not detecting any new pictures in the DCIM folder even though there are new pics. I tried clearing the cache etc but its still not detecting new pics as a result is not uploading it.
Edit: Cleared the storage and now trying to upload it. Started uploading from 0
Edit 2: Now even less pics backup. Let me know what logs to send
Same happening to me. This happens every morning after I unplug from the charger. I have it set to upload when charging only.
I have the same issue now. Previously was stuck on the last 3 pictures to upload. Reset camera upload and started from 0, now it hangs with 12 photos left.
Okay, so I noticed something …
it seems when the app starts to upload the videos one of two things seem to happen:
It either shows the thumbnail (in the notification) of the photo it uploaded beforehand, or it says 0 photos left (which I guess is kinda true).
So, at least in my case, some of the time it wasn’t stuck in some loop, it was just uploading the videos.
Altogether though, it does seem to work now… somehow … sometimes the notification is stuck there, but goes away some time later.
Same exact problem here. Stuck with 3 files remaining. I was watching the console logs while this loop was going on and it just keeps reprocessing the same exact request over and over. It never fails any of the three requests in the repeating group, but once it finishes it goes right back and does it again.
