I see the current path of the backup directory is
/var/packages/PlexMediaServer/shares/PlexMediaServer/AppData/Plex Media Server/Plug-in Support/Databases
I do not have access to the /var/packages/ folder and I assume this must be accessed by using SSH or something similar?
Can I without problems or concerns change the Backup directory to something I can access in DSM File Station?
That way I can back it up further to an off-site location.
There is a setting under “Scheduled Tasks” where you can set the backup folder. This can be any folder accessible by your Synology.

Thank you MovieFan!
I’ll change the folder from the default folder
/var/packages/PlexMediaServer/shares/PlexMediaServer/AppData/Plex Media Server/Plug-in Support/Databases
to something else
As FYI:
The default path shown by PMS
/var/packages/PlexMediaServer/shares/PlexMediaServer/AppData/Plex Media Server/Plug-in Support/Databases
Is visible to you as: PlexMediaServer/AppData/Plex Media Server/Plug-in Support/Databases

That is a good heads up ChuckPa!
If that is the case the folder is already backed-up off-site as the entire PlexMediaServer folder is in backup.
I was not aware that I should ignore the first part:
/var/packages/PlexMediaServer/shares
Thank you!
I only know that because I’m the engineer who developed and maintains the packaging for it.

Fantastic =D
Then you ought to know I guess
Not easy for the common man to know though I would assume.
I appreciate you explaining this for me as I now have a better control of where my backups are located.
