I know plex can be a bit particular with how files are stored but I’m got mine running sweet.
All films are on one hard drive.
All TV series are on another.
One hard drive has three different sets of files, we’ll call them Comedy, Kids TV and News Items. Plex shows each of these under their own Library.
Each of the three Comedy, Kids TV and News Items has their own category/library on the left hand side of Plex media server.
Is there an opportunity to create a Category called “Christmas” and include a few films from the Films hard drive, a few bits from another hard drive and a few from another?
I guess sort of like tagging each of these files with a Christmas tag and then that Library showing only files with that tag.
Is that possible?

I think it is possible to have items from different libraries (and types) be part of a collection, but I don’t quite know how to get TO this collection easily.
I have a Scooby Doo Collection, which I have added all my 11 Scooby TV Shows to. I also added all the Movies to a collection of the exact same name. Now, when I browse the Scooby Doo Collection in my Animated Shows library, it looks like this:
This time, the movies show in a grid, and the tv shows are on a single row.
It’s not the best, and there’s no obvious way to link to this collection from the home page or left-hand side. Plex seems to have a hang-up about isolating items in separate libraries from eachother. Putting separate library content them into the same collection like this is probably the closest you can get to combining library content.
You can add a collection to the hub, but it only lists the items for whatever version of the collection you are viewing. If I am in the Movies version of the scooby doo collection and add it to the home hub, it only lists the Movies, not the TV Shows. I would have to add the TV Shows version of the collection as well. So I would have two home-page scooby doo rows to see this content.
I assume the OP would want to list a TV show, a movie from one films library, a movie or two from a different films library, and something else from another. This would not result in one single Christmas entry on the home page.
If possible. Edit every item you want (in the pencil) and in the “Tags” section add the “Christmas” tag in “Collections”. Do not remove labels that may be by default, just add the one you want manually. Films can be in multiple collections.
A collection will be created with all the movies you have tagged like this. In addition, when you select any of them and the information from the movie comes out, below it will indicate that it is part of a collection called “Christmas” and the rest of the films in that collection appear.

Si es posible. Edita cada elemento que quieras (en el lápiz) y en el apartado “Etiquetas” añade en “Colecciones” la etiqueta “Navidad”. No elimines las etiquetas que puedan estar por defecto, solo añade la que quieras manualmente. Las películas pueden estar en múltiples colecciones.
Se creará una colección con todas las películas que hayas etiquetado así. Además, cuando selecciones alguna de ellas y salga la información de la película, más abajo indicará que forma parte de una colección llamada “Navidad” y aparecen el resto de películas de esa colección.
