Hi there!
I’ve figured out how to delete(remove) items from my music playlists on the web, but I can’t find out how to delete(remove) them on the Android app. When the items of a playlist are displayed, the two horizontal lines on the left are inactive, and the three vertical dots on the right contain a ‘Delete’ option on the drop-down menu. However, this delete option is followed by a warning that ‘this action will delete the original files’, which is absolutely not what I intend: I just want to remove them from this particular playlist, not delete them from the library or disk for good.
Android 12, Plex ver. 10.17.0.868
I cannot currently check this on an Android phone… on iOS, you simply swipe an item in a playlist to the left to access the Delete option. This will remove the item from the playlist.
It works the same on Android mobile.
You just need to make sure that you are showing the actual playlist on the screen, and have not navigated from the playlist to the album or artist to which the track belongs.
i.e. you can not remove a track from the actual playing playlist if you have the Player interface in the foreground.
You need to minimize the player using the ∨ icon in its upper, left corner, to reveal the playlist underneath it.
Thanks a lot! Yeah, swiping removes the item from a playlist.
Thanks for your comment! Sorry, but there is no option ‘remove from the playlist’ when even the player is not playing back any files from the playlist. On the web, you can use circles next to the items; you check them, and then the option ‘remove from the playlist’ becomes available, as opposed to the interface on my Android phone. Yes, I accesss the items from the playlist directly.
I was referring to @tom80H comment. Swipe left.
