I really need to be able to do that on one of my smart tvs because when decoding audio with hardware there has been some interresting outputs in varius apps. Video freezes sounds plays, black screen but soud plays (this is whats happening in plex). In other apps that also uses exoplayer this is easily solved by changing settings for audio decoder to software instead of hardware.
From log this is the tv info: Manufacturer: PHILIPS Device: philips_MT5593FHT_EU Model: QM152E Product: philips_MT5593FHT_EU Version: 5.1.1. Maybe you can put that in the profile for this model. Or even better put an option under advanced in settings so we can switch between hardware or software decoder for sound. This would solve it for other older problematic tvs aswell.
