Can I import music playlist (m3u or other format, not Itunes)?

I want to buy a NAS (probably Synology or QNAP) to store my music and video libraries.
Is there an easy way to import my existing music (only music, not video) playlists into Plex?
I manage my music library with Media Monkey for Windows, so I can easily export all the playlists into m3u or another format.

I understand there’s a way to import Itunes playlists: Synology FAQ's ... Read This First! but I don’t use Itunes.

I have found this Python script but it seems cumbersome: https://github.com/dakusan/PlexPlaylistImporter

Without the ability to import playlists, Plex become useless to manage large music libraries.

Any ideas? Thanks!

I am undecided between the Synology DS918+ and the Qnap TS453Be. They both have the same Quad-Core Intel Celeron® J3455 1.5GHz to 2.3GHz. So basically same hardware and same price.

Thanks for confirming you can’t import playlists into Plex.

Have you tried running that Python script on a NAS? I guess it may be possible but not straightforward.

I guess the decision between Qnap and Synology comes down to software: the software of the OS and specifically that of the music streaming server and Android music app (Synology DS Audio vs Qnap Q Music), since I can use Plex as video server but not as music server.

There are other differences, like Synology requiring BTRFS (not ext4) for virtual machines, and QNAP being able to use flash for the OS, not just for storage, but they shouldn’t be too relevant for my needs.

Can i use the script above to import my M3U music playlists into Plex on a Raspberry Pi server or is it Windows only? Are there any detailed instructions on using the script? Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
