Yes, that is a core feature of Plex.
It is one of the perks of a centralized Server-Client architecture, which Plex makes use of.

Plex will store playback progress on the server. So you can stop playback on one client and seamlessly continue on another, as long as the two clients have a network connection to the same Plex server.
The same applies to watching progress through a tv series btw.

Just make sure you start the ‘traveling device’ from scratch or in such a way (force a refresh if possible) that it gets the latest watch status info.
