I hope this was not put here before. At least I could not find anything by searching.
Please, let me know if this is a duplicate.
What I would like to see is the option to “move” a running video to another device.
For example, I’m in the living room and want to move to another room. I have a movie playing on my living room tv.
I pick up my mobile device, open plex, select the media center running the tv, and with one button stop the movie on the tv and start it at the same position on the mobile device. I can then move around with the device and later maybe move in to the bedroom where another media center drives a tv and simply continue playing the movie on the bedroom TV.
I know this is basically possible with the current version, but I would first have to stop the movie on the tv, then browse to the same movie on the mobile device, hit play and select “continue from xx:xx”.
then the same again when I want to move it again to another device.
This could be integrated on the IOS Client with a button in the device selection like “continue currently playing content on this device”.
And if different media centers running on the same network could advertise to each other (or handled by the central PMS that then sends the info to the media centers), a button inside the media center which would say something along the line of: “continue playing on xxxx mediacenter client”.
I hope you get what I want to say here
