I would like to manage photos on my Mac from a remote location and give my parents the ability to view them with their Tivo. I’ve so far been unable to find a good solution to allow me to do this that doesn’t involve them buying an Apple TV. I was hoping Plex was it, but then I saw that it only supports Romio or the newer devices, not the Premiere. Then I read some other stuff that made me not so sure. Anyone able to let me know for sure if this is possible without buying any new hardware? Thanks.
The availability if the Plex app on Tivo devices can vary. Sometimes it is blocked by your provider, if you got the Tivo through them. The easiest is to check the app store on the device and see if you can find the Plex app. It’s free to use so you can try it out without any cost issues.
