I have a LG Smart TV and and apple laptop. I have the Plex Media Server downloaded on my computer with a few movies loaded on it, but i can only watch it on the TV app if my computer is open. Is there a way i can I watch movies through PLEX on my tv without having to have my computer open and on?
In short no.
You could use Plex Cloud Sync sync to cloud but it’s going to optimize your file.
Plex Cloud is still in beta, unless you have access.
LG App doesn’t support offline files.
