Can multiple users (all on the same local network) upload to a single server?

I can’t seem to find a direct answer to this. I am currently running a Plex media server which I’ve shared with my housemates so they also access the content. However on my housemate’s PC (which is on the same network as my server), there is a movie that I don’t have on my server. Is it possible for him to add this movie to my server? Is this a Plex pass feature?

Just to be clear, I’m not talking about him creating his own Plex server and sharing it with me (his computer is usually off so I wouldn’t be able to access it) nor am I talking about the mobile sync feature which uploads recordings/pictures from a phone.

As a workaround, I’ve made a shared Windows folder on my server which users on the same network can add files to. I then included this folder in my Plex library. This works but is fairly slow and a bit tedious so if there’s a way to do it through Plex that would be preferable

Thanks in advance!

^^^ This is the only way.
Plex doesn’t have an “upload” feature itself.

Wow that was quick; thanks for the info.

Often wondered. Can you spoof Plex by renaming a video to picture(e.g. mkv->jpg). Will Plex attempt to upload said “picture”?
