Can no longer access PMS on Synology DS214

Server Version#:1.16.5.1488-deeb86.e7f
Player Version#:

I used to have no trouble accessing plex on my synology, but recently I have not been able to connect to it by either appletv or a laptop on the same LAN.
Looking at the Package Center, Plex is running (with ‘running’ written in green)
I manually installed version PlexMediaServer-1.16.5.1488-deeb86e7f-armv7hf.spk
The Synology does show up on my LAN, and I have been successfully transferring files to it (it shows up on my Mac finder as a Location that I can mount; I’ve been continually transferring plex media files to the Synology with no trouble.
I turned off the firewall on the Synnology.
I ran ClaimIt, and got the following output:

plex.tv Username: bahboric
plex.tv Password:
plex.tv Password Repeated:
IP Address of PMS server: 192.168.86.22
Comparing entered passwords
Comparing entered passwords ok
Validating IP address
Getting PMS Server Identifier
********** ERROR **********
We failed to get the Plex Media Server ID
Please check server is up and running, as well as the IP address entered

But the server is running, and it is the correct IP address; when I try to open Plex from the Synology Package center, I get a new tab in my browser at the address http://192.168.86.22:32400/web and a message saying Safari cannot open the page.

I stopped Plex, went to Plex/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server and deleted the files plexmediaserver.pid (if it exists) and Preferences.xml, restarted, but that didn’t help.
I also restarted the modem and NAS.
Under the Shared Folder Control Panel, user Plex has R/W access to share Plex.
Under Network in Control Panel, I edited LAN and unchecked ‘Set MTU value manually’
I ran nslookup plex.tv and got:

ric@OtteFamilyNAS:~$ nslookup plex.tv
Server: 192.168.86.1
Address: 192.168.86.1#53
Non-authoritative answer:
Name: plex.tv
Address: 99.81.213.165
Name: plex.tv
Address: 99.80.242.242
Name: plex.tv
Address: 99.80.231.223

I compressed the logs, and they are attached. Interesting to me, none of the logs seem older than May Logs.zip (2.3 MB)

I am assuming this is a network problem, but am not sure why it suddenly stopped working, and what network setting I need to change.

Thanks for any suggestions!!

I also had tried Chrome, and got the message:
192.168.86.22 didn’t send any data.
I’m not sure what certificate Plex is looking for. So I went to the Synology Control Panel, and under Security there is a Certificate section. It said there was a self-signed certificate from Synnology that was expired. I updated it, and IT NOW WORKS!

Thanks very much!! I spent a lot of time trying to figure this out, and never thought there might be an expired Synology certificate.
