I have tags on all the childrens movies and tv shows. My Kids account is set to only allow the tags I selected. The rating system wasn’t working because some cartoons from way back when were unrated, and some old westers like True Grit were rated G. And god forbid I allow them the “Animation” genre, what with Sausage Party, and my collection of Anime…
Anyhow, tags were working fine till today. I can no longer save when adding tags to the Sharing tab in a movie’s editing screen.
I add the tag, hit save, the window closes, but never shows up on the Kids user. So I go back in as administrator, check the Sharing tab, and the tags are empty, like I never tagged it.
I have tried this with several new releases and tv shows. Same thing.
Is this update related?
What version of Plex Web do you have? They rolled out 2.10.6 this morning, which should fix this.
I have the same problem. My Plex Web version shows 2.10.5 but my server version is the latest available for the Plex Pass Update Channel: Version 1.2.3.2914…
How can I only update Plex Web to 2.10.6?
The version on app.plex.tv will automatically update probably sometime today, if it hasn’t already (mine has). The locally-installed version of the web app only gets updated when a new version of the Plex Media Server is installed, so that will have to wait until the next version of the server is released.
I have 2.10.5 as well, and like Willieb1172 said, my server version is latest, so not sure how to “force” the chrome version through, but it’s not doing it by itself.
We can no longer manually update the Web App. We have to wait until they push out the next update to the server to get the new web App. Or log into plex.tv and use the launch button, and then all of our edits are going to go through their site.
I have a Feature Request I made for this in my signature. If you are as frustrated as I am, take a look at it. It’s the Reset Web App Bundles link.

I just want to clarify that this is not how it works, the requests are made directly to your server (you can fire up your browsers inspector to see what requests are being made and where they’re being made to).

Do you have a workaround or something? Or do we really have to wait until the next server update, and then HOPE that the web client gets updated this time around?
