Can no longer invite a new user by email

Player Version#: n/a

I have invited a dozen users to my server over the years with no issues, and the latest user was added only a few weeks ago. However, I attempted to add a user yesterday and now inputting the email address simply shows an incorrect userID and does not allow the invitation go out to this NEW user to plex.

I select “Manage Library Access” and then “Grant Library Access” as before. If the functionality has changed, how do we now invite a new Plex User to the server?

You can still use email. i do it all the time it does not care if you are using a full email with an @something.somehting at the end. If you only enter something like joe@fakemail then you will get an incorrect user ID since that is not an email format since it has no .com , .org etc

if you want to message me what email you are trying to invite I can see if there is an existing accout already and possibly some issue with it.

Please re-read the post; the process has worked many times in the past and as recently as a few weeks ago. Now there is no “Continue” option, only “Cancel” regardless of partial or full, and vetted, email entered; the Continue is greyed out. Additionally, there is no prior user account; as stated above, this is a NEW Plex user.

I did read it. The answer to your question is, “the functionality hasn’t changed”. You can see my screen shot with a nonsense email working with “Continue” not greyed out.

That’s why i asked you which email you used which you can message me. So i can try to reproduce the issue.

I would try in an incognito window, all extensions turned off and/or a different browser (It would be good to know which browser you are using.)
