I try to invite someone to my Plex server. But i keep getting the error message Failed to sent invite when i press the Send button at the last step of the wizard. I’ve seen this same error also with other email addresses.
The email address is correct and he also already has a plex account.
Anyone else seen this? Does anyone have a clue how to get this fixed?

My memory is a little vague on this but here goes.
Does your friend have a Plex Home set up? If so are you trying to add him to YOUR Plex home?
AS far as I’m aware it can’t be done.
TL;DR nobody can belong to two Plex homes If I recall.
He would have to be invited as a managed user I believe.
A most likely source of trouble is a wonky network connection to plex.tv
or the interference of a VPN or anti virus software or other ‘security appliances’.
Certain web browser add-ins or special ‘secure’ web browsers are also known to interfere with the operation of Plex.
You can use Plex user names instead of email addresses.
If the invitee already has a Plex account, he also doesn’t need to receive an email from Plex. All he need to do is to log in to his plex.tv account and go to ‘Users & Sharing’ https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/users-sharing
Then he can accept or deny the invitation from there.
To further investigate some of these cases, I’d need the email addresses of the invited accounts. You can send them to me per PM.
The problem is that i can not even even sent or activate the invite so that the certain user can go to Users & sharing to accept it.
I tested it with Safari and Chrome on Mac OS. Also tested it with Chrome with Windows. I even tested it with Chrome on my Android. All of them give the same error.
I will send you a PM with the e-mail address which fails.
Do you have any filters in place between your web browser and plex.tv ?
Try setting your DNS server to one of Google’s (8.8.8.8 and/or 8.8.4.4)
The email you sent me shows that the account has been created already.
Have the user log into it with a web browser and set a proper user name, so you can try inviting the user name instead of the email address.
Just tried a different mail address, which also did not work. For this e-mail i created a username and this also does not work. Ill send you a DM with the username.
And i also configured the Google DNS in my router.
