I reinstalled Plex server and Player because I found out that you can’t download the Windows Plex player from your download site. You need to have someone tell you where the Player program is in the forum. I also bought a lifetime pass 2 days ago. Now I can not add the libraries to the server. I read in the forum, you need to delete items in the registry. I did not find the online Home entry, but did delete the others. I followed the procedure of logging on locally and then hosted. I still can not add the libraries. I have spent 2 days on this and still can’t get near to using Plex. It shouldn’t be this difficult.
Similar problem here, but I was unable to even find the specific registry item “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Plex, Inc” where it is called out to be so as to try to delete it and start over. Very frustrating so far.
You usually only need to do this if you replace an existing Plex Media Server or have created the server with a different account.
In such a case you could e.g. not access the server settings.
