I’m in the same situation you are. Fresh Server install, even created a new user account – I see what you’re seeing at the localhost address but I see, of all things, a prompt to download the Server.

Different issue. Your web app is probably using a different plex.tv account than your server does.

I’ll give that a shot. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the server, but I suppose the bad registry settings could have stuck around.
Thanks for that, clicking more asks me to download media server again.
I have looked through the customizing plex web support and there is nothing i can do in that on my screen.
The TV Shows, Movies, Music, Pictures etc are all gone, there is no Library at all and no option to create a Library anywhere and i have looked everywhere.
I have uninstalled, and reinstalled and nothing changes
I have had to uninstall and delete the registry entries and delete the data in the Localapp directory and delete other plex directories.
Tip search the registry by going to Edit Find and enter plex to get rid of ALL as i found one that was NOT in the instructions above.
Search also your HDD as there are residual directories, you need to delete them all if you have the same problem I did, but this will delete everything to do with PLEX and when you reinstall the Server you have to set it up again from scratch. just an FYI

In which case my second link would apply. There is no need to blow away the whole Plex configuration and library.
Thanks Otto, but I did try all of the information that was given in that second link. It did not resolve the situation, only ‘blowing’ the whole plex away worked, but I appreciate the suggestions.
I am having this issue too. I deleted the registry and deleted app data. Seemed to fix it and when it was updating my libraries it broke again…
