I am experiencing the issue reported here and would like some assistance running the necessary script to fix my issue as the recent server update did not fix the already broken files. My server is Mac based if that helps.
Thanks for your time.

Can you provide some guidance to help my Mac server fix the date issue. I have a couple albums that show 1900 as the year and any change to them creates an error while saving.
Thnaks.
Are you using the latest / beta version of PMS?
1.26.1.5772 for Mac.
What’s the error when saving? Share a screenshot?

Trying to change the year of the album and can’t save the corrections.
That may be a different issue. Are you certain you’re using 1.26.1.5772?
I am now running Version 1.26.1.5798 and the release notes mention a couple fixes about the Originally Available Date being addressed but after installing the update, I am still not able to modify the date and save it. Still given the same error message.
Working fine here.
Maybe you have a broken database?
Try this:
Ohhh…And do use https://app.plex.tv/ and not the bundled one
Can I send the zip file directly to you to sift through rather than upload it in this post?

According to your log, you are trying to set the date to 1970-01-01
That will not work, but anything greater would, like 1970-01-02
That’s interesting. Does that mean that for movies and music albums older than 1970-01-02 it’s now impossible to set the correct date at all?
Also, what is up with this?

I am editing the album Rhymes and Reasons as the Originally Available date shows 1969, but if you look below that, the year says 1968.
Changing the day did work.
It means that somethings up with 1970-01-01 00:00:00, that can not be set.
Unix epoch for above would be 0, which PMS rejects
But a date like 1968-01-01 can be set
So I’ll report it back to the Devs
Yeah, this bug was reported a few times in other threads. But still no acknowledgment of the bug from people at Plex.
@dane22 could you also take a look at this one and report it back to the devs? I use dates as a data point a lot in my libraries (music, movies, TV shows), and this particular bug has the potential to really impact me.
AFAICT, it’s only the date 1970-01-01 that is impacted, anything else works
I mean the displayed date being off by 1 year like what @PGalati mentioned in one of the posts above:
@dane22 -
The year-in-the-past thing has been fixed for manually edited dates. If I enter 2021-01-01, year correctly becomes 2021.
It’s still a bug for data from the Plex Music agent. If I Refresh Metadata on an album that was available on 2021-01-01, the year is extracted as 2020.
