I’m in the 30 trial period of Plex Arcade and I really want this to work.
anytime I try to play a game I get a message saying “An unknown error occurred.
Error code: -22000 (Unknown)”
I’m running Windows 10. It doesn’t look like “Plex Game Transcoder” even starts in task manager so I’m assuming its something before that. I have the Cores set correctly. I know this because I intentionally tried removing a core to see if it would give me the same message and it gives me a different error about the core missing when its wrong. Is there another port I need to open on my router besides the main plex port that it uses for everything else? Any direction at this point would help as I’m not sure what else to try.
That CPU should have a compatible iGPU. Check that you have Direct X 11.1 installed. Also check this note from Parsec.
An Intel Graphics driver released in September [2019] ending in .726X (for example 26.20.100 .7262 ) has a bug preventing Parsec hosting from working. Please check device manager to see if you have this driver. If this driver is installed on your system, you will need to update your driver (directly from the Intel Support Site) or downgrade / rollback to a previous driver version.
Nope, that should be fine. Sounds like something just isn’t quite compatible. Maybe try rolling back the graphics driver just to check. If that doesn’t work, get me the entire PMS log after retrying in case there is some other error involved as well.
Maybe something I should have mentioned in my post. It did work at one point on the 2nd day of testing. My only issue at that point was I was getting the NES controls on my phone screen no matter what console i tried. The next day nothing worked and has stayed that way ever since. I will try rolling back the graphics driver now to try.
The Android app only has 1 on screen controller. That is expected. It does not change to fit the game console, we wish we could. If the on-screen buttons are useful, you’ll need to connect a real controller.
Are you sure? I think I remember the gameboy on screen controller switching with NES just fine. However the Genesis or N64 controllers loaded the NES controller.
I just checked and I see the same controller regardless of what platform I’m playing. I prefer using an actual controller as the onscreen ones block the game.
Any error in the 22000 range is related to DirectX. Unfortunately, there isn’t a specific cause or reason why this error shows up. As mentioned before, if you can get me your full server logs after reproducing this problem, I can check if there is more information available.
I see you are using a custom domain. I don’t know how that works with Parsec. Can you turn that off and let PMS do it’s own thing to rule that out as a cause.
I turned off verbos logging but cant find anything with a custom domain. Where should I be looking? in Settings>Network all of the fields that mention custom domain or custom server are blank.
I figured it out! It seems Plex arcade will fail if you use Remote Desktop. I remote into my server all the time. If you close remote desktop it still will not work unless you log back in on the physical machine.
