Just recently, my server became inaccessible on my local network, but still works to connect to it remotely over the Web. At least, what it tells me is a “direct connection is unavailable”.
The only things I had changed recently were to reserve the local IP address of my desktop running the server so that I could ssh into it from outside the network. I also turned on Port 22 forwarding to the desktop. Because my public IP address is dynamic, I am also using a DDNS service to get into the desktop. All of this I assumed could screw up my remote connecting to the server, but didn’t think it could have any bearing on connecting over the network… but maybe I was wrong.
I updated the server to the latest version and have tried different players, including through the browser on another computer. I’m not very knowledgeable at all with networking, but I think everything is on the same network/submask.
I’ve attached the logs… any help anyone?
