Can Plex Pass DVR allow me to record cable channels that do not require a Box?

I do not have a cable box and I am totally streaming my channels using the internet. I found out that I still get channels / Even Local without the need of an antenna (Even though I have one) right through the cable. I am wondering if the device I get (Home Run) along with the Plex Pass is able to pick up the channels that are natively running through the cable line without the box? If not then I might just swap back to my Antenna and use the home run with that option.

Yes, Plex can record unencrypted channels with a suitable tuner devic, (like the HDHomerun devices).

If you attach a regular TV to your cable and you can watch the channels, it is pretty safe to assume that the HDHomerun can “watch” them as well.
