Can see the files in the folder, but it won't add them.

server-raspberry-pi

I started with this article on the initial setup, but skipped wireless and went LAN. https://makezine.com/projects/raspberry-pi-plex-server/

Screwed around to figure out the permissions and finally got that solved I thought, but when I go to add the files, I get nothing.
Pi is the owner, and is set as the user for Plex in /etc/default/plexmediaserver.prev. I’m not sure what to do next.

Side note. This folder worked on my Windows PC, but that bit the dust.

I still cannot understand how anybody would think the file /etc/default/plexmediaserver.prev, which is clearly named “previous” and obviously a backup file, would have any impact on the system. It has not  And by the way, changing the Plex user from plex to pi is bs.

Please read the LInux permissions guide here in the forum to correctly mount your media and give user plex access.

Please also take a look at the official Plex on Pi setup instructions:
