Can someone confirm if Plex app is now fully available on Samsung Q80R

I’m planning to purchase the 2019 Samsung Q80R smart TV, and I’ve read a forum post dated January 2019 that the Plex app wasn’t fully available on the Q80R TV. However, I have found any recent post that confirm the app is now available.

Anyone here using the Q80R TV who installed the Plex app from Samsung store?

Hi mhweb,

I have the Samsung Q90R (so the same series) and Plex is available and works great.

I would assume the Q80R shares the same store as they are both Tizen televisions and it would be available.

I have just bought a Q90R and discovered Plex. I have been trying to play TVHeadend recordings from my Ubuntu machine with Plex on my Q90R. The video plays ok, but the sound is always the narration track. Prior to playing I select the AAC soundtrack and it is shown with a tick, but I still get the narration track when I go on to play. I was wondering if you had experienced this problem at all.

I have noticed others have had this problem with Samsung TVs but nothing recent, so with your comment as well I am not sure whether there is a problem or if it is something I’m not doing right.

The video plays ok when I use Kodi to stream on my Pi into the HDMI, but I was hoping Plex would give my a direct access to my Ubuntu machine.
