Same issue here. Running win10 anniversary on HP Stream7 tablet using win store app
Same problem here. Spend hours searching the mistake. Reinstalled plex media server (debian) an win 10 app (mobile phone). Nothing did help
Any update on this? Seems like quite a long time for a fairly crucial feature of the app!

I agree… perhaps even a simple update of the debugging progress would be helpful.
I believe we’ve nailed the issue. A new release should be going out soon with it. Thanks to everyone for your patience.
Same problem here. Everything works fine except music.
Release 3.1.1 will be available in the Windows Store shortly. Please let us know if it fixes the issues you’re seeing or not.
@pombeirp
For me 3.1.1 helped just a little bit. The music plays again, but the player just reacts with a big delay. The first Track needs about 20 sec or sometimes it doesn’t want to play.
And the changing between two Songs also has a delay, sometimes short but mostly a longer one.
And I think Flac seems to need much more time than MP3.
Thanks for letting us know, @martin.S.
I’ll take a look at the logs. Did you ever experience this delay before? The changes that fixed this bug (and the changes that caused it in the first place) should have not effected any delay.
@roguecode
No, the music player in the new UWP app worked perfect from the release 3.0.69 until the update (3.0.80?) that brokes the music player.
I’ve this problem on PC and Laptop, reinstallation didn’t helped, on Mobile I didn’t get the update yet.
Ok, starting to see the issue from looking at your logs, however I am not able to reproduce.
As far as I can tell, the delay you see is actually not a delay per-say, but rather it just isn’t playing at all once it gets to the player page. It looks like after a while of waiting, you clicked play again and it then worked quickly.
Is this correct?
I’ve added more logs to help me diagnose exactly what is happening here, which will come in the next version. But for now I’d like to know that at least once you get to the player and manually hit play again, that everything is quick like it should be.
@roguecode
Sorry, I should have tested this more closely. I’ve tested now a few more times, it seems that the first track always doesn’t play (I’ve waited ~5 minutes).
Now I found out that there is a difference between the “Next” (and Previous) button/function and if I select another song over the playlist on the right (or starting something from another album).
If I use the “Next” button it works instant, if the song ends the next will be played instant, but if I start a song from the playlist or from another album, the actual song still plays for ~5-15 seconds until the selected one starts playing.
Not seeing the app update in Windows Store (U.S.) yet. Should I check later today?
Yeah, rollout is sometimes slow. Please try again during the day.
Plex in the windows store for PC still is reading 3.0.83. How do I get the 3.1.1 update?
Thanks @pombeirp

Ok, this is partly what I expect, but I don’t know why hitting play on the playlist items would be 5-15s. Would you mind starting the app new, playing something, then pressing play on an item to reproduce the 5-15s bug, then sending me logs? Thanks!
Problem solved after updating to 3.1.1, thanks!
In my case, apparently the problem was solved with the update 3.1.1, thanks.
