Can’t access library with new iOS App

Server Version#: 1.41.6.9685-d301f511a
Player Version#: 2025.15.0 (1053)
I am unable to see my music library with the the latest iOS apps on iPhone 12 and on my daughters iPhone XR. The same setup was working for about 6 months without any issues and stops working since the latest update. The server is running on my Raspberry Pi 4.

Other libraries, like movies and tv shows are still accessible and can be displayed.
If I log in to my Plex account and open the browser from Windows PC (Mozilla Firefox 128.10.0 ESR) the music library ist is displayed, accessible and editable.

The new regular Plex app for mobile devices doesn’t have support for music (and/or photo) type of libraries anymore.
To get your music onto the phone you need to use Plexamp.

Ok, thank you for your reply, this is working for me.
Before starting to configure, does this also work for sharing audio books, so that my daughter has only access to specified media?

Plexamp is a Plex client just like all the other client types.
Which means you can use managed user accounts, and the access restrictions you defined just like before. https://support.plex.tv/articles/categories/features/plex-home/

There are some settings you might want to make, to optimize operation with audiobooks.

  1. store all long-form audio (audio books, radio plays etc) in a separate library (i.e. separate from regular music content)
(The library can easily be switched on the Home screen, top-left.)
  2. activate “Store Track progress” in the properties of this library (DON’T activate it in a library with music)
  3. If you cannot or don’t want to do 2), open Plexamp and enter the Settings section (bottom right button on the Home screen) Experience - Player and enable “Music Quick Skip”
  4. enable “Use long-form Controls”
  5. customize “Quick Skip Times” to your liking
