I recently discovered that I can’t reach my plex server locally.
The plex docs clearly state that I should reach my server locally via 10.0.0.100:32400/web (https://support.plex.tv/articles/200288666-opening-plex-web-app/), but that’s not the case, I can’t reach it. (10.0.0.100 beeing the LAN-IP of my server)
I can reach my plex instance via plex.tv, works perfectly, therefore, I can´t tell if this issue occurred today or halve a year ago.
can you ping your server? also you must be on the same lan in order to access it vi that.
try
http://10.0.0.100:32400 or https://10.0.0.100:32400 once you confirm you can ping the server.
I figured it out, if you set the secure connection setting to ON http traffic is ignored and not redirected.
So I can reach https://10.0.0.100:32400/web, while http://10.0.0.100:32400/web is not reachable.
good to hear, i suspected it was https enabled.
