My plex is installed in the synlolgy virtual machine. I found that the CPU usage is high when watching 1080p video. I have turned on the hardware accelerated transcoding option in the server background. But I don’t know if it works. Can anyone answer me?
No. Because of how Synology abstracts the hardware in their VM, the installer is unable to get to the root layer of the OS.
May I ask why complicate the configuration? There will still be a Plex share on the volume even if in a paravirtualized VM. It’s not an encapsulated VM.
