okay, like I said, I did the Plex dance on my entire server and it didn’t work. is there a different set of steps you have to follow when you’re doing the entire server? the dance still works when I do it to individual shows.

There is no need to dance, if you want it to pick up external subtitles. Just Refresh Metadata. This can be done for a whole library at once. that’s literally part of performing the Plex dance. if I hadn’t done that, I wouldn’t be saying that I had performed the Plex dance.
