I just want to be able to navigate by folder and filename as I have them on my computer. I do not need it to analyze everything to name, sort, or add anything else to what I have. Is there a way to make the media server do this?
Well a start toward what you want would be to use “Other Videos” as your library type.
As far as being able to just use your folder structure. Many clients can do that. I know Roku, Fire TV and Shield TV all have a folder view as an option.
But be aware that Plex is not really designed for a simple use like you want and you will meet problems attempting to use Plex in that way.
