It’s my first time posting here, so apologies if I’m in the wrong place. Basically, I have a huge problem. My PLEX server (NAS box) is running perfectly. I can access it from my Fire TV box no worries. I recently bought an NVIDIA Shield TV, and I can’t access my movies folder on it. When I click TV programmes it finds them fine. Same for news and podcasts. But any movies folders I have I cannot get into. I get the error “The connection to the server was lost. You can try again or select a different server instead.” Which is a pain as I’ve spent months organising them.
The same goes for my Iphone app. Sometimes if I delete and reinstall the Iphone app it will allow me to access the movies sections for a while but will then suddenly stop working.
Has anybody else had this problem on here and found a solution?
My server (PLEX) version is 3.63.7 and is the latest one available. As it’s baked onto my linux server I can’t update it to anything higher as I have no idea how to get into the apps folder and install from scratch. I’m wary of doing this anyway.
My NVIDIA Shield TV is up-to-date, and the plex app has just updated to the latest version (DATE - 1st Oct 18.
