Hello there,
after being 6 weeks away from home (honeymoon) I returned home today. I turned up my computer to run all the necessary updates and when I clicked on the plex app (chrome browser or via my Qnap App Center) I get the message “website cannot be reached”.
What I have done so far:
- rebooted the Qnap
- installed the most up to date firmare of the device
- deleted and reinstalled PMS for QNAP
- restarted my own PC -.-
- After one installement I reached a Plex site where it said “there seems to be a pms kernel problem” ==> reinstalled again => now I get the old “website cannot be reached” message…
My Qnap is a TS 559 Pro II with the latest firmware and PMS client installed…
Unfortunately I cannot give you any logs, since I cannot reach my pms -.-!
Any ideas?
Regards,
Lei
can you check from your QNAP app center that Plex is not only installed but also running?
you can manually pull the log files – description is in the support article linked below.
https://support.plex.tv/articles/200250417-plex-media-server-log-files/
a) Notifications Channel keeps saying “Plex Media Server hasn’t been enabled or started…” everytime I start the Qnap Website…
b) I somehow managed to install the 32bit Plex Media Server client on my Qnap => let it read all my files and then some metadata loaded others did not => I could not even start a movie/show in the webbrowser ==> starting them via the casual way (open the file on via double clicking on it) works perfectly fine. Somehow the PMS App seems broken? It also takes such a long time (+10min) for the Qnap Server to delete the PMS App (others are deleted instantly). => as of right now I cannot even delete the app itself -.-
Additionally: I get no feedback when entering the log files via putty (SSH). I used the Instruction given via your links. I get nothing…
