I am currently running a synology NAS with Plex server installed. It works great over my local network. I wanted to use Tailscale to be able to access my Plex library remotely. So I installed Tailscale on my Synology and I am able to access the synology itself fine when I am remote (so I know Tailscale is working). When I try and access my Plex Server, however, from any remote device also connected to my Tailscale, the library does not show up (just exclaimation marks because it’s showing as offline). Is there any way to make this work through Tailscale? Thanks.

I have Plex installed on my Synology NAS, and it is showing running via the URL: http://nas.local:32400/web. When I try to launch it from the NAS, it won’t work… and that is because I have the Plex server setup for https vs http, and my NAS do not know how to resolve nas.local, because it only exists as a host file on my Mac to point to the actual IP of the NAS server. And when I go to app.plex.tv and log into my Plex account, it will not show my libraries online. Yet, it works fine from my local network (strangely, even from devices that do not have the host file containing the nas.local entry). My question is, is there a way to change this on the NAS that is hosting the Plex server so it is showing IP address (or whatever it should be)? Currently, I have no way of launching Plex server in web unless I’m on another device on my local network.
