Cannot access PMS locally or remotely

If I have posted in the wrong place and/or there is another threat about this already, please forgive a relative newbie. If a thread exist already point me to it please!

I’m at wits end. I have an unraid server that threw a hard drive this week. No problem, I put it in a new one, rebuilt my data on the new drive and we’re off and running.

Today, I was manipulating my movie files and having Plex get the correct matching info. Again no problem.

I walked away from my computer for an hour, came back, and couldn’t access Plex locally. When I went to use either the web ui I get the dreaded, unable to connect. When I tried from Plex.tv, it showed my server as unavailable.

Tried to connect via the app on my phone, couldn’t as it said offline.

Okay, I removed Plex from my docker, rebooted, reinstalled Plex. Same thing. Thinking it could be the server, I used windows explorer and I can get into the server, see my files, heck, even click on them and see them play in a player…but NADA with plex.

I’m out of ideas. Wish I could send log files but can’t get to them either. Any ideas?

im getting most days. only resolution found is a pc/server reboot

Thanks Marc…yes, thought that as well but reboot did nothing. Curiously, about 2 hours after I posted, it all came back! I was able to access via LAN, via WiFi, via remote! I suspect now that it was on the Plex end even though the Plex status page said they were operational. Haven’t had a recurrence yet!

I’m in that boat right now… plex is showing server is unreachable, but the services are active… (rebooted the box, restarted the services, and plexmediaserver loads with no errors in the logs, but still getting a unreachable).
