Cannot access server on mac even though I'm connected to the local server IP

I am unable to connect to my ‘local’ server from a mac. This is odd to me as I’m connecting to the server using the local IP address, but the local server says
The server "RogoQnap" is unreachable. Make sure it's running, double check your network, and try again.

I’m able to connect using my linux laptop right next to it. All of these machines (local qnap server, laptop, iMac) are on the same subnet. The mac is running macOS 26.0.1 (25A362). Both machines are running Brave Browser.
