My main server is on a windows computer. I’m trying to reach the same library from my other devices and most devices there is no problem - like my iphone. But my macbook using chrome i am having trouble accessing the server for some reason. Its on the same wifi too.
Whats happening is none of the files from the server are loading and its loading files from my macbook instead of the windows computer. I tried to enable remote access to see if that would fix the issue, but i was not able to do that for some reason…not even sure if thats even the fix i need…it was more of a reach because i don’t know what else to do… Please help.

This sounds like you have installed a second instance of Plex server onto your Mac. Which is not necessary.
Remove Plex server from there.
Next time, simply open the address https://app.plex.tv in a web browser on your Mac.
Or install Plex Player for Mac.

so i removed the plex server from my mac and just left the server on my windows comp and I’m still running into the same issue when i try to login on the web browser on my mac. I did the usual corrections - log out and in; restart computer and its still not working.
I’m getting different responses:
one time the server would show up, but say that it was unable to connect…even though its on the same network and i wasn’t having an issue connecting on my phone or on my windows computer (which suggests to me that there’s no issue with my router blocking the connection)
the most recent time, the server isn’t showing up at all when i try to get into on my mac from the web browser
Is the Mac also logically in the same local network?
What I mean by that, is if you for instance have an active VPN software on the Mac, then it is isolated from your local network and can only reach your server if it is available per remote connection.
