Cannot add another server

Server Version#: 1.15.8.1198
Player Version#: 3.95.2

I know this has been asked a couple of times but none of the answers fix my problems.
I have 2 ubuntu 18.04 server latest patches and both same plex version.
one server is in my local network and the other one is at a provider.

the local server was currently in my plex setup the only one. now I wanted to add the other.

so I did an ssh user@ip -L localport:IPnewserver:remoteport and logged to my server.

I opened up the web browser to the 127.0.0.1:localport/web and logged in. what I was login into was my old local server. even though that remote access is disabled on my old local server, the plex webpage redirected me like that.

in the interface my new server i was login into was nowhere to be found. so I thought remove the old one which I did. after login in again i could see my new server.

anyways I tried adding the old one again which was only possible with removing the new one.

any advice?

NetworkServiceBrowser: SSDP departed after not being seen for 28.797597 seconds: x.x.x.x (Plex Media Server: host.domain.tld)

So i guess the problem is that claiming the server runs into an timeout.

solved…

uninstalled both plex servers and purged them. important was to delete /var/lib/plexmediaserver manually which the purge did not do.
removed all browser/client connections and servers in the account.
installed both servers new which solved the problem. both are now usable.
do bad that i have to rescan and add all media libs.
