Cannot access remote server

Hey there,

I just installed another server in my local network on a QNAP device. Now I am able to select between this server and the other local server.

But I also own a remote server (running debian) that was accessible until I configured the new server. Now it dissappeared and I cannot figure out, how to add this server again. Whenever I enter the ip and port of the remote plex server I have to login to my account and it just shows me the two local servers.

All servers were claimed with the same account, the two local servers are using port forwarding, while the default port 32400 is accessible on the remote server directly.

How can I add my third server again?

It sounds like your remote server is no longer signed into your account.

ssh -L 8888:127.0.0.1:32400 ip.addr.of.host`

then open http://127.0.0.1:8888/web in an incognito browser window (important to avoid tokens from the other two)

Hello ChuckPA,

thank you for the answer. After logging in to my account in the incognito browser window the server was listed and had the button to link it to the account. But after clicking it, the loading circle just started and the step never completed. If I open the address now in a new incongito browser window it just shows the local servers like before…

Edit: I removed all servers and reinstalled Plex on the remote server. The UI is reachable but after logging in no server is found. Now I am really stuck…

Edit 2: I removed the Plex server again and also deleted /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/ and after a clean install everything is working again. I have no idea what was wrong, but at least it is working now :slight_smile:
