Completely deleted and reinstalled Plex Media Server. I’m running Mojave. I cannot add my libraries back into Plex. The cursor just spins and spins when trying to add movies too library. They were on the previous version and played just fine.
When you deleted/re-installed… did you only delete the Plex Media Server app or also all related information (such as Plex’ preferences stored in ~/Library/Preferences/com.plexapp.plexmediaserver.plist)?
If you also cannot set/change your server’s settings, you might have locked yourself out and might need to restore full access:
I walked through all the steps on my mac. After reopening Plex, I did have to reclaim my server. But after directing me library media finder to the proper directory with my movies, it still just spins and spins and cannot locate anything.
Anyone with any further thoughts?
Do you have Push Notifications on? I’m kinda wondering if you have a corrupt database. Push Notifications should tell you that without having to dig into the logs.
There are several support articles that talk about fixing a database or restoring a previously backed up database. Might be worth looking into.
