Cannot Add new library "Your changes could not be saved."

I am running a plea server on a macbook air and in the initial set up i was able to make a library for my music from an external hardrive. now i am trying bring atv show from the same external hardrive to the server and am getting a message “Your changes could not be saved.” this happens once I try to adding the folder to the library. the show is in a format that flex should be able to play back and am confused what going on. Any help given to this flex noob would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Having the same issue. I cannot add new folders or remove old folders. Also, new content added to existing folders does not seem to be indexed by the PMS.

I figured it out… put your path in the library then click “advanced” and set the scanner to movies and the one beneath it to use the OTHER movie database service, not the Plex one.

I had a similar issue with nothing being able to be saved on my server and it happens to be that my database was corrupted.

if anyone still have issues, go to advanced and scroll down to agent and select personal media shows. this will fix it .

Same problem. None of the above worked. Cannot add any libraries.

You could try removing PMS from Authorised Devices, and then selecting it again.

Same issue here. I tried different browsers. Disabled extensions. Tried the different agents. NOTHING WORKS!

When plex works it’s so damn nice. When it doesn’t it’s impossible to fix. I need more ways to fix issues myself. Is there a config file? Is there a database? Where do Plex store the information?

What are the software engineers actually doing at plex, it bad enough that they have tried reinventing the wheel with the oooooh so bad new screen but seriously to let a bit of software go out and it not be bug tested to within an inch of its life is quite frankly amateur.

to have a bug or clitch that language drop down is not populated and stops what is a basic but essential part of the software (ie adding folders) really should have been jumped on as soon as it was issue was reported.

Bad show plex … off you go to the naughty step
