Server Version#: 1.21.3.4021
Player Version#: Movies are played on my TV
I have added a four-bay HDD enclosure to my PC and dedicated/named a folder in one of the drives as “Plex Movies.”
I opened Plex, selected that media server and selected “Manage”, then “Add Library.” I selected the appropriate drive then the folder “Plex Movies.” In that folder are movies (.mp4, .mkv., etc…) that are in their own folder as well as movies that are individual files. Prior to adding this four-drive enclosure, I had two external HDDs (each in their own USB3 connected enclosure) with folders dedicated to Plex Movies and the Plex app found and played them without problems.
However, with my new set up, the Plex app reads “Changes Not Saved” when I select “Add Library” once I have selected the drive and folder for Plex Movies. It will not allow me to add the drive+folder as the new Library for this specific Media Server.
I would greatly appreciate assistance with getting this fixed!
Or inspect them yourself. Take a look at the Plex Media Server.log file and seek for messages about database corrupt or malformed.
If you find these, you may have to repair your database.
That seems to have worked! Thank You very much!
Why did it make a difference using the hosted web app instead of the Plex app already installed on my PC?
