Cannot add Photo Folders to Album

On PMS 1.8.2.4209. I can create a photo album, however I cannot add anything to it. Tried this via Web and Android. When I click to add a folder to an Album (existing or new) it always shows the album as empty.

When you say “When I click to add a folder to an Album…” are you talking about this step:

What do you mean by “… it always shows the album as empty?”

No, not adding a Library. I’m talking about creating a photo Album.

So it appears I can’t add “folders” in my Photo library to an Album for my playlists. I have to go into a folder that shows the individual pictures and then it will add them to the Album (playlist). It would seem to me that this might be an oversight or bug.

Ah, I see now. They renamed the “Add to Playlist” to “Add to Album.” in today’s build. I hadn’t gotten it yet.

I just tried it, and it worked. How are you selecting the folder you want to add?

I select it via the checkbox.

Ah, okay. I think I have it. When you open the folder you’re trying to add, do you see photos, or sub-folders?

For whatever reason, the Add to Album command won’t add photos from subfolders. If you select a folder that directly contains photos, it should work.

Yeah, there are subfolders. However, even when I drill down to the last subfolder it still won’t add it unless I go directly into the folder.

Hmm, mine works from one level up, so I’m not sure what the problem is. Maybe a Ninja can step in here.

What OS is your server running?

Y’know, my server is still version 1.8.1.4139, and I won’t be able to change that until this evening. It may be that something broke, or has been changed.

Maybe a Ninja will step in here. @keithah

It is running Windows 10. Since I was able to work around this I’m, OK for now. However, it would be nice to be able to add any folder regardless of level.
