Console gets flooded with this type of error:
Failed to begin transaction (…/Sync/SyncItemProcessor.cpp:706) (tries=10): Cannot begin transaction. database is locked
ending up with the server becoming unavailable after a few minutes. No items/devices appear to be set to sync.

Hi @EspenLund , thanks for the logs but the debug information is not enabled in your settings, so the information in the logs is not that useful.
To enable that, follow the section “How to Enable Debug Logging” from here: https://support.plex.tv/articles/201643703-reporting-issues-with-plex-media-server/
Then post the new logs.

Yup, that option was selected and still is.
It is back up and running after deleted Preferences.xml as per this thread:
With PMS stopped.
Delete the Preferences.xml file in /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server
Now start it.
It will start up as “Unclaimed” and generate a new set of ID codes. Any media scanned in the DB is still retained.
As you walk through the wizard, do not create new sections. All existing library sections survive this soft reset.
Will report back if it happens again.
