Server Version#: Installed fresh from the Synology Package Manger
Player Version#:
When trying to sign into the PMS (using my Plex email… not a NAS user account) I get:
No soup for you!
The server you're trying to access doesn't want to let you in. Make sure you're signed in as a user with access to this server.
I have tried a lot of different things from these forums to no avail (ex. Need to Totally Reset Plex Server on Synology )
Observations
When attempting to login to http://<NAS.IP>:/web I get redirected to https://app.plex.tv/auth
My Synoloday “admin” user account is disabled by default
The Plex share is there and not empty

I suppose you’re using http://<NAS.IP>:32400/web for step 1 of your observations?
Did you by chance run this server before under a different Plex account?
Also… considering you made the Plex share visible… I hope you didn’t story your media there!?

FAQ 15: Claiming & Connecting to a troublesome Synology server
This FAQ is for those situations where the normal claim process has failed.
There are multiple techniques to accomplish this.
DSM 7
Uninstall the package with the “Keep” option
Reinstall the package , selecting the “Plex Claim Token” option
Click “Get Plex Claim Token”.
Browser tab will open and display a “claim-xxxxxxx” token string
“COPY” the string
Return to the installer window
PASTE the claim-xxxxx into the small window …
I made it visible by giving the Administrators group RW access. It wasn’t working before that either.
No I haven’t run this PMS before (just setup the NAS two days ago). Unless PMS is tied to the NAS hardware somehow and I got a returned unit…
Any other ideas?
