Cannot connect from Vizio TVs

Server Version#:1.25.3.5409 (Windows 10)
Player Version#: 5.29.1 and 3.13.14 (Two different TVs)

I am stumped.

I was having issues connecting with one of the two Vizio TVs (v3.13.14), but the other was working. Today neither one will work. I can connect to PLEX on my phone just fine, but the TVs are a no-go.

I have reset both to factory defaults and re-signed them in. They’re on the same network. I have tried both wired and WIFI.

I have tried all the troubleshooting steps here: Why can't the Plex app find or connect to my Plex Media Server? | Plex Support

I have turned off the firewall and virus protection. I have manually entered the IP address. I have no idea where to go from here.

Why can I connect from my phone, but not the TVs?

Another tidbit of information that might be helpful. The Vizio TV (v3.13.14) is showing it as trying to connect to an IP that does not belong to the server. And isn’t on the same network. I have added manual servers using the server IP, but when it errors out is still shows the wrong IP.

Sorry to hear about the troubles your having.

The TV with the 3.13.14 app version sounds like it’s likely a no longer supported model running the old app. Currently, only SmartCast TVs are supported.

For the other TV have you tried setting both Allow Insecure Connections and Prefer Insecure Connections to always (this might work for the older TV as well, but it’s just a guess there)?

Yes, I was worried that the 3.13 TV was no longer supported. It is only about 3-4 years old. I guess that is old in the world of technology these days.

The SmartCast TV I was able to get working. I had to unplug it to hard boot it. Seems like every so often that is required to get it working again.

Thank You
