Cannot connect to server securely

Server Version#: v1.30.0.6486
Player Version#: 9.13.1.37459

I’m using a Nvidia Shield TV pro and installed/ enabled the Plex Media Server. I’m having trouble connecting to the server on the web app. Upon further investigation someone on reddit suggested to ask an employee to “reset my server cetificate” because this is what fixed their issue. I would also like to mention that my Shield TV Pro is brand new. Please help!

are you using app.plex.tv or http://shieldIp:32400/web I don’t see anything wrong with your certificate

I’m using app.plex.tv. here are my logs below.

What happens when trying to connect via http://192.168.1.187:32400/web

That worked

ok looks like you had the shield server duplicated on your account for some reason. I removed what appeared to be an older one. Did you uninstall or clear its data at some point?

Can you see if https://app.plex.tv works now

It does work now, thank you. Could it be because I uninstalled and reinstalled the plex media server on my shield?

Possibly. If you uninstall without signing out it may leave a bad record on your account and then it may have caused a conflict when you reinstalled because there were two records with same IPs but different IDs and certificates and I think the app was trying to connect to the wrong one.

I have the exact same issue (also using nvidia shield). Can you help me as well?

@goldengreen can you access it via http://shieldlocalIP:32400/web replacing shieldlocalIP with the actual local IP
