Cannot Delete an empty collection

Server Version#: Version 1.22.1.4200
Player Version#: Version 4.53.0

I put two movies in a new collection, then later decided to remove them from the collection and then delete the empty collection.

However, I keep getting this when deleting it:

Permissions are default from the PLEX install:

I have stopped and started PLEX, as well as rebooted the Synology.

Any ideas?

It’s my understanding this is a known bug. There are several reports of issues deleting collections on this forum. Currently, there’s a thread just a few below yours titles “Error deleting Collections”.

Supposedly it will be fixed in the next release (1.22.2).

I have the same issue. It started shortly after updating to latest release, (1.22.1.4228-724c56e62: Intel 64bit).

Synology DS1019+, running DSM6"ish", (all current updates). Problem is not browser dependent.

Same here and some collections, the movies inside those collections are missing tags but are still “in” said collection. Not a Browser issue, same browser worked before update, does not work after update. Please fix… sincerely, paying customer.

Would you mind sharing some logs?

  1. double-check your debug logging is enabled (but not verbose logging!)
  2. retry deleting a collection
  3. download the log files from Settings > [Server Name] > Troubleshooting > Download Logs
  4. upload the resulting zip-file here

I’ve reinstalled it several times. Where in the log can I see which version I have?

It’s in the Plex Media Server.log file. Very first line.

That says Shield. I just noticed you are writing in the Synology room. Did you grab the wrong log? If you have more than 1 server, make sure you change the drop down to reflect the correct server before downloading the log.

Yeah, I was in the correct server (I’ve only got one). When I click the three dots next to the server name and choose Manage Server, it also tells me the version. It still says 1.22.1, even after installing again. Weird.

So you do have a Shield? 1.22.2.4262 is not yet available on the Shield.

Yeah, I have a Shield Pro. So when does the update come out for that?

It’s usually a few days behind.

You also need to be enrolled to the Beta in Google Play to get the beta versions - it should be available now for beta testers (or at least very shortly as it was published a few hours ago already).
