Cannot delete files from plex from web interface

Server Version#:1.14.1.5488
Player Version#:3.77.4

I have searched the forumn and cant really find a solution to my problem. I am running plex on server and cant delete files from web interface.

lets use Pictures folder for example located at /home/tim/Pictures
permissions for Pictures folder tim:tim with 755

files are permissions tim:tim with 664.

plex user is in group tim

below is log showing request for delete and it says it completes it but web interface says “There was a problem deleting this item”.

Log shows im authenticated on web as rockytoptim so I added that user and included it in both groups tim and plex. Still no luck.

Any help is appreciated.

Please perform the following steps:

  1. Start PMS
  2. Specifically go to the item you want to delete.
  3. Delete it (attempt)
  4. Wait 30 seconds.
  5. Settings - Server - Troubleshooting - Download Logs
  6. Attach the ZIP

I ask this because what you show above tells me nothing of the attempt to delete or the reason it couldn’t be.

I did as you posted and attached is the log files. I tried to delete test.jpg from photos library
