Cannot direct play my home movies to Samsung smart TV

Server Version#: 1.20.3.3437
Player Version#:

I have trouble playing my home movies from my camcorder via Plex on Samsung smart TV.
He doesn’t want to direct play movies, but transcodes them and I don’t know why.
I have no problem with other films. They are played Direct Play.

My data:
TV Samsung QE65Q7FNAT

WI-FI
Rx rate: 867 Mbps
Tx rate: 650 Mbps

NAS Qnap TS-673

movies from my camcorder:
Internal Recording
Standards
MP4

Compression Format
MPEG-4 AVC / H.264

Audio Format
MPEG-4 AAC-LC (16bit 2CH)

Audio Sampling Frequency
48KHz

Colour Sampling
YCC420

Frame Rate
50p

Bit depth
8 bit

Resolution & Bit Rate
3840x2160 (150Mbps)

Look at the Now Playing of your server dashboard and you should be able to see what it is transcoding to. Viewing playback info in the app should say why it is transcoding. server logs should also have the reason. Going to guess due to that high bitrate which is maybe only an average and may be much higher in parts.

When doing 4K, use the HEVC codec. Particularly when the frame rate is above 30 fps.

I will take this into account when exporting movies from video editting programs.
But mostly I watch native movies from camcorder.

Thank you.

I am sending information from NAS-Dashboard, Nov playing:
I am sending log file.

Is this helpful?

Plex Transcoder Statistics.log (6.8 KB)
Thank you.

This log file only shows that the real (peak) bandwidth of the file is 142 mbps. (ouch)
requiredBandwidths="148001,147675,146716,145119,143523,142020,142020,142020"

That is enough to overload most clients. Which may also be the main reason why Plex is deciding to transcode the video. The decision can be seen in the Plex Media Server.log.
Transcoding 4K at 142mbps may even easily be too much for your server CPU to transcode on-the-fly.

You could try and create an ‘optimized version’ of this file and then play that. https://support.plex.tv/articles/categories/features/media-optimizer/

I am sending Plex Media Server.log file.
I hope it helps.Plex Media Server (streaming to TV).log (827.8 KB)

Interestingly, Plex WI-FI streaming on the telephone works fine. It is a Direct Play.
Just a little buffering (1 s) before it starts playing, then smooth until the end.
Does that mean there is a problem in the TV?

Plex Transcoder Statistics (streaming WI-FI to mobile).log (3.4 KB) Plex Media Server (streaming WI-FI to mobile.log (220.2 KB)

Does anyone please know the solution to my problem?
Thanks for the help.

It is simply too much for the TV.
